When should I book a maternity photography session?
I recommend scheduling your maternity session between 28-32 weeks. This is the time you are showing but are not yet in the last few uncomfortable weeks of your pregnancy. This also gives us time to reschedule if we have inclement weather (especially with Alberta weather, it always changes within a day!) Weekend availability is limited so it is better to book sooner than later. I have more flexibility on weekday evenings.
What is your maternity photo shoot process?
What do you see when you imagine doing the photography session? We will discuss what type of session you are looking for and the different locations that we can go to. Most sessions are offered outdoors about an hour before sunset so we can capture that beautiful golden light.
I also offer studio sessions for those who are looking for a more intimate feel. These sessions are a lot of fun!

What should I wear?
Most expectant mothers choose to wear soft, neutral, or pastel dresses although some would prefer more vibrant colors too! If you like, I have a collection of gowns you can use during your session. I also encourage everyone to go and pamper themselves prior to the photoshoot schedule. Get a maternity massage! Get your nails and hair and makeup done so you feel your best. You deserve it, momma!
How long does a photography session take?
On average, sessions last about forty-five minutes to an hour depending on the location. Don’t worry much, I will guide you with poses that will make you look and feel your best during your session. You are one gorgeous momma, remember that!
